FAQ

WHAT ARE YOUR BUSINESS HOURS?

My business is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM. Set up your appointment by clicking here. Text 814-201-6667 if you need to schedule a Saturday or Sunday appointment. If you need an immediate appointment, contact my office and I’ll make every effort to get you scheduled as soon as possible. My goal is to ensure you have an exceptional customer experience.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

You can pay by cash, major credit card, CashApp, Venmo, ApplePay, or GooglePay.

WHAT DOCUMENTS CAN NOT BE NOTARIZED?

I am not allowed, by federal and state laws, to certify or notarize U.S. birth, marriage, death, or naturalization certificates, or copies thereof, and any U.S. federal or state government documents that display a copying prohibition.

CAN I MAIL MY DOCUMENTS TO YOU FOR NOTARIZATION?

Sorry, no. You must be physically present, with an acceptable form of ID, for notarization service. This applies to all signers of documents that are to be notarized.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BRING WITH THE DOCUMENTS I NEED NOTARIZED?

You will need to present an original, government-issued ID that is in force (i.e., not expired) and contains a picture or description sufficient to identify you. Acceptable forms of ID include, but are not limited to, a driver’s license, passport, ID card, and so on. All document signers must be physically present and provide acceptable IDs.

MY DOCUMENT DOES NOT HAVE A NOTARY SECTION. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT KIND OF NOTARIAL CERTIFICATE I SHOULD ADD TO THE DOCUMENT?

Unfortunately, no. Under Pennsylvania law, the choice of notarial certificate must be made entirely by you. I can show you the types of certificates available, but it must be you who decides which one to apply.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

I am located near the Bayfront in Erie, PA. There is no official office because I provide a mobile service or walk-in by appointment only.

CAN YOU HELP WITH LEGAL ADVICE WHEN PERFORMING A NOTARY SERVICE?

No. Pennsylvania notaries who are not licensed attorneys are not authorized to provide legal advice of any kind. This means that I may not practice law, draft legal documents, interpret document content, or help with or provide advice on filling out documents. If you require legal assistance you will need to contact a duly licensed attorney.

HOW ARE YOU KEEPING YOUR CLIENTS SAFE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC?

I wear a face mask to all appointments. Face masks are optional for fully vaccinated customers (i.e. those who had their vaccines and boosters more than two weeks prior). I respectfully request customers who have not been fully vaccinated to wear face masks. As much as reasonably possible, notary sessions are conducted with social distancing. I also sanitize my hands before starting a notary session, and bring hand sanitizer for customers’ use as needed.

WHY SHOULD I TRUST YOU? WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS?

I am a licensed, sworn, bonded and insured Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. My commission number is 1418373 and it expires on October 10, 2026. The main eligibility and qualification requirements to become a notary in Pennsylvania can be viewed at the PA Department of State.
